Presentation
Delayed development. Dilated occipital horns of the lateral ventricles on cranial ultrasound
Patient Data
Small anterior horns of lateral ventricles with parallel widely separated bodies giving classical "racing car" appearance. Dilated occipital horns of the lateral ventricles (colpocephaly).
Non visualization of any of the parts of the corpus callosum on midline scans.
Prominent third ventricle, freely communicating with the interhemispheric cistern with no communication between the cerebral hemispheres at the site of the corpus callosum. Narrowed and elongated frontal horns are also appreciated giving "moose head sign".
Case Discussion
Complete agenesis of the corpus callosum with no other congenital anomalies.
