Patchy fibroglandular tissue is seen in the right breast.
Several punctate calcification foci with a benign appearance are scattered in the breast.
A well-defined oval-shaped mass with an air-tissue interface sign is evident in the medial portion of the right breast, most consistent with a skin-based lesion. (BI-RADS 2 - proved by the physical exam)
Case Discussion
Air-tissue interface sign on mammography in cases where the mass is located on the skin helps to distinguish it from the intra-mammary mass.
