Allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis

- upper and mid zone predominant, central varicose bronchiectasis
- mild bronchial wall thickening
- mucoid impaction and bronchocoele formation in the right upper lobe and lingula with branching V- or Y-shaped configuration
- minor tree-in-bud pattern peripheral to the bronchocoeles
Case Discussion
This case demonstrates many of the key characteristic radiological findings in allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis.
The patient was noted to have elevated IgE levels and a mildly raised eosinophil count.
Expectorated sputum demonstrated fungal hyphae on microscopy.
