Case Discussion
Amplatzer septal occluder (ASO) is designed for atrial septal defect (ASD) closure. Nitinol mesh with polyester fabric is formed into a double-disc that apposes the septal wall on each side of the foramen/defect and it then facilitates tissue in-growth after placement.
