An Amplatzer septal occluder is in place, seen on both the frontal and lateral projections.

Case Discussion

Amplatzer septal occluder (ASO) is designed for atrial septal defect (ASD) closure. Nitinol mesh with polyester fabric is formed into a double-disc that apposes the septal wall on each side of the foramen/defect and it then facilitates tissue in-growth after placement.
