Presentation

Abdominal pain.

Patient Data

Age: 70 years
Gender: Male

A large polypoid enhancing mass infiltrates medial wall of mid portion of duodenum and invades pancreatic head. Pancreatic duct is dilated up to 11 mm.
A few small cysts are also seen in liver.
A few cortical cysts are seen in each kidneys.
The prostate gland is enlarged.

Post surgical control CT after 11 months

A lobulated mass with punctuate calcification is seen in anterior mediastinum.
Post operative changes due to Whipple procedure are noted as resection of head of pancreas and adjacent duodenum, cholecystectomy, and gastrojejunostomy. Also, hepatoduodenal anastomosis are observed, causing air in biliary tree.
A few small cysts are seen in liver.
Several cortical cysts are also seen in both kidneys.
The prostate gland is enlarged.
