Presentation

Right inguinal bulge.

Patient Data

Age: 55 years
Gender: Male
ultrasound

Hernia of the appendix in the right inguinal canal. It passes superficial/ lateral to the inferior epigastric vessels. The herniated appendix is not inflamed. The smaller, hypoechoic testis is present in the inguinal canal, lying distal/caudal to the appendix. Empty right hemiscrotum. Normal left testis in the left hemiscrotum.

Cine-loop is aligned to the right inguinal canal short-axis and runs from the lateral to the medial direction.
