Single live intrauterine fetus (17 weeks) with small sized head, maldeveloped brain and skull bones. It shows active movements and good cardiac pulsations during the examination.
Case Discussion
The fetus in this case has a characteristic "frog eye" appearance with undeveloped skull vault bones and no parenchymal brain tissues are seen above the orbits in-keeping with anencephaly. Abortion is recommended as it is incompatible with life.
