Presentation
Facial asymmetry.
Patient Data
There is a 40*47*52 mm well-defined expansile lesion in the condylar process of the right mandible with thinning of the cortical bone.
The lesion has multi-cysts with fluid-fluid and blood-fluid levels displaying heterogeneously hyperintense signal.
After contrast injection, septal enhancement is noted. Overlying soft tissue has a normal thickness without inflammatory changes.
Case Discussion
Aneurysmal bone cysts are an expansile solitary cystic lesion of bone that most often presented in the second decade of life. Metaphysis of lower extremity long bone is the most common location. ABC of the calcaneum, mandible, clavicle, and femur are uncommon entities.
