Aneurysmal bone cyst of the proximal femur

Well defined expansile lytic lesion in the intertrochanteric proximal femur extending into the lesser trochanter, which is grossly expanded. The is no sclerotic margin. Two surgical clips are adjacent to the lesion, indicating the site of previous biopsy.
Case Discussion
This lesion has features of an aneurysmal bone cyst, which it was proven to be.
