Small right renal upper pole mass - T1 hypointense, T2 hyperintense with post-contrast enhancement. Note the marked loss of signal on the T1 out-of-phase imaging and T1C+ fat sat, reflecting fat content. 

Case Discussion

Typical MRI features of a renal angiomyolipoma (AML). MRI is excellent at evaluating fat-containing lesions. They show loss of signal in fat-suppressed sequences and show drop of signal in out-of-phase imaging.
