Bimalleolar fracture.

Fracture of the base of the 5th metatarsal.

Diffuse osteopenia of age.

Case Discussion

In the case of a bimalleolar fracture on the AP ankle one is accustomed to assessing the posterior malleolus for a further fracture on the lateral projection.

However, remember to view the 5th metatarsal base as is a usual review area on trauma ankles rather that be totally satisfied with your initial search.
