Patient Data

Age: 50 years old
Gender: Male

Axial images shows the follwoing:

  1. Multiple levels facrt joint arthropathy.
  2. Bilateral sacroiliac joints fusion.

Sagittal MPR of the patient shows the following:

  1. Multiple levels anterior syndesmophites.
  2. Syndesmophytic fusion of the disc spaces.
  3. No fractures.

Case Discussion

Sagittal and axial CT images of 51 years old male with low back pain shows mutiple level anterior syndesmpophutes together with multiple levels disc spaces fusion, Multiple levels arthrosis of the facet joints. Bilateral fusion of the scaro-iliac joints is noted as well suggesting the diagnosis of ankylosing spondylitis.
