Presentation

Neck stiffness and generalized bone aches

Patient Data

Age: 50 years
Gender: Male
ct
  • bilateral symmetrical ankylosis of the sacroiliac joint.

  • ossification of anterior and posterior longitudinal ligaments.

  • ossification of the interspinous ligament giving a "dagger spine" appearance.

  • vertebral body squaring associated with ankylosis of the intervertebral discs as well as the apophyseal and costovertebral joints.

  • diffuse syndesmophytic ankylosis giving a "bamboo spine" appearance.

  • enthesopathy at the symphysis pubis.

  • arthritic changes of both hip joints, more marked on the left side.

  • arthritic changes at sternocalvicular and acromclavicular points on both sides.

  • bilateral coracoclavicular pseudoarthroses.
