Anterior angulation of the coccyx - type IV

Presentation

History of coccydynia.

Patient Data

Age: 12 years
Gender: Female

There is diastasis of the proximal intercoccygeal articulation with mild superior subluxation and approximately 90 degrees angulation of the distal coccyx (type IV coccyx). 

Case Discussion

A normal subtype of coccyx anatomy consisting of subluxation of the intercoccygeal joint and anterior angulation of the distal coccyx.
