- Minimal amount of joint effusion.
- An abnormal linear high signal is seen in the Posterior horn medial meniscus reaching the inferior articular surface denoting Grade III meniscial tear.
- Complete separation of the anterior cruciate ligament insertion that involves the majority of the eminence.
- Abnormal bone marrow signal intensity of central tibial plateau denotes bone contusion.
A case of ACL avulsion fracture shows complete avulsion of almost all the tibial eminence with no comminution findings in keeping with type 3b avulsion of the anterior cruciate ligament insertion.
