Anterior cruciate ligament avulsion

Minimal amount of joint effusion.
An abnormal linear high signal is seen in the Posterior horn medial meniscus reaching the inferior articular surface denoting Grade III meniscal tear.
Complete separation of the anterior cruciate ligament insertion that involves the majority of the eminence.
Abnormal bone marrow signal intensity of central tibial plateau denotes bone contusion.
Case Discussion
A case of ACL avulsion fracture shows complete avulsion of almost all the tibial eminence with no comminution findings in keeping with type 3b avulsion of the anterior cruciate ligament insertion.
