Knee pain without trauma.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female

Anterior cruciate ligament with a cyst at the femoral attachment. Note the mass effect on the ligament, without interruption of the ligament fibers. The posterior cruciate ligament is normal.

Case Discussion

In young patients, ganglion cysts of the ACL may be responsible for knee chronic pain with restricted range of motion.
