Left ankle injury 3 months before the presentation. Complaining of anterior-lateral ankle region pain.

The anterior inferior tibiofibular ligament shows continuity. However, it is thick and hypoechoic. There is mild effusion in the anterior recess of the ankle joint. Anterior talofibular ligament, calcaneofibular ligament, dorsal talonavicular ligaments show normal echopattern.
Case Discussion
An adult male had the left ankle twist followed by persistent pain on the anterior-lateral side of the ankle. The ultrasound shows anterior inferior tibiofibular ligament sprain.
