Anterior mediastinal mass: Hodgkin lymphoma

Presentation

Persistent dry cough and shortness of breath for two months.

Patient Data

Age: 60
Gender: Female

Widening and abnormal contour of the right cardiomediastinal contour including opacity projecting over the right hilum - hilar vessels are visible through the mass. No pleural effusion or pneumothorax. Right apical pleural capping. Lungs elsewhere clear. Cardiac silhouette is not enlarged. No destructive bone lesion. 

Lateral projection confirms anterior mediastinal mass with obliteration of the retrosternal airspace

Case Discussion

The patient went on to VATS-guided biopsy which demonstrated nodular sclerosing Hodgkin lymphoma.
