Presentation

Deformity of face since birth.

Patient Data

Age: 5 months
Gender: Female
ct

Premature fusion of the right coronal suture resulting in flattened right frontal bone and bossing of left frontal bone representing craniosynostosis with anterior plagiocephaly.

Elevation of superolateral corner of right orbit consistent with Harlequin eye deformity.

Rest of the cranial sutures are open.

No significant neuroparenchymal abnormality is detected.

Case Discussion

Craniosynostosis refers to premature fusion of one or more cranial sutures. It can be an isolated finding or can be part of a syndrome.
