The quadriceps fat pad is enlarged with edematous infiltration of high signal on PD fat sat, convex posterior margin and mass effect on the adjacent suprapatellar recess.
No significant joint effusion is seen.
Normal appearance of both menisci, collateral and cruciate ligaments.
Case Discussion
Enlarged and edematous anterior suprapatellar fat pad with convex posterior margin is the main MRI findings of the anterior suprapatellar fat pad impingement syndrome.
