Anterior inferior tibiofibular ligament thickening, hypoechogenicity with continuity present. Undisplaced chip fracture of tibia at the attachment site.
Normal anterior talofibular ligament, calcaneofibular ligament, peroneal tendons.
Mild effusion in the anterior recess of the ankle joint.
Case Discussion
Findings of an anterior inferior tibiofibular ligament sprain. There is an associated chip fracture of the tibia at the attachment site of the above-mentioned ligament.
