Ankle twist while dancing - 3 months back. Complaining of anterolateral ankle pain.

Anterior tibiofibular ligament sprain
Ultrasound
Anterior tibiofibular ligament: Thickened, hypoechoic. Continuity present. Undisplaced chip fracture of tibia at attachment site.
Anterior talofibular ligament: Intact, normal
Calcaneofibular ligament: Intact, normal.
Peroneal tendons: Intact. Normal echopattern.
Ankle joint: Mild effusion in anterior recess.
Case Discussion
Findings of anterior tibiofibular ligament sprain. There is an associated chip fracture of tibia at attachment site of above mentioned ligament.
