Chest pain radiating to the back

Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Male

Aortic aneurysm and tortuousity with circumferential thrombus and a large penetrating ulcer just distal to the arch, pointing anteriorly. Bilateral small renal cysts and sacral dural ectasia on axial images. Abnormal left ribs on plain film

Case Discussion

The findings are in keeping with systemic affection rather than isolated aneurysm. Possibilities include neurofibromatosis and less likely Marfan's syndrome.
