Gender: Female

Variant origin of the left vertebral artery as the third branch of the aortic arch. 

Case Discussion

Origin of the left vertebral artery is classically from the left subclavian artery. However, ~5% of left vertebral arteries will have a variable origin with the most common being as a branch of the aortic arch 1
