Aplastic posterior tibial arteries

Download
Info

Both posterior tibial arteries are not visualized (congenitally absent), with hypertrophied peroneal arteries, which course medially behind the medial malleoli, then continue as lateral plantar arteries.
Multiple varicose veins are noted throughout both lower limbs.
Right-sided Baker cyst is noted.
Case Discussion
Features are suggestive of aplastic posterior tibial arteries, which is a rare variant of the lower limb arterial system.
