There is a large blind ended cystic lesion in the right lower quadrant, adherent to the medial aspect of the cecum. The appendix could not be defined separately from it. Focal mural curvilinear interrupted calcification is observed. No surrounding fat stranding or abnormal lymph nodes are seen.

A low attenuation hepatic lesion, measuring 12 mm in diameters, is located at the 8th hepatic segment (Couinaud`s nomenclature), revealing early peripheral, nodular enhancement, and centripetal filling inferring hemangioma.

A 32 mm thin walled cyst is present at the right adnexa.

A small amount of free fluid is present at the posterior cul de sac.

Case Discussion

A blind ended cystic lesion in the right lower quadrant, adherent to the base of the cecum and shows no surrounding fat stranding, is typical for appendiceal mucocele.
