Severe abdominal pain. Nausea. Past history of pancreatitis.

vermiform blind-ending structure arising from the caecum inferior to the ileocaecal junction and looping posterior to the caecum. There is fat stranding posterior to the vermiform structure and also hyperdense foci within the lumen
dilated pancreatic duct and calcification in the head of the pancreas. These changes are related to chronic pancreatitis
two left renal cysts
The findings in this CT are consistent with appendicitis and appendicolith, as well as changes related to chronic pancreatitis.
Case Discussion
The patient in this case proceeded to the operating theatre and an appendicectomy was performed. Histopathology confirmed the diagnosis.
