Appendicitis with fluid-fluid level

The dilated appendix is located in the right iliac fossa with its tip directed to 9 o'clock. Its diameter is up to 14 mm. The fluid-fluid level is present in the appendiceal lumen. No fecolith/ appendiceal wall breach. Periappendical inflammation is present without local lymphadenopathy/ collection. The cecum and terminal ileum were normal.
Case Discussion
The case shows appendicitis with fluid-fluid level. Surgery revealed a pus-filled appendix.
