A well-defined lamellated radio-opaque elliptical focus is noted projected over the right iliac crest.
Case Discussion
This young girl presented with acute onset of right iliac fossa pain associated with vomiting of 3 days duration. On ultrasonography, there was an appendicolith measuring ~ 1.7cm at the base of the appendix with acute appendicitis. No complications including rupture. The patient underwent appendectomy successfully and doing well at present.
