Presentation

Abdominal pain from 10 days ago.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female
ct

An air-fluid level containing collection is seen at medial aspect cecum accompanied by fat stranding. Appendix could not be defined separate than collection.
A few tiny cysts are seen at liver.
A few cortical cysts are seen at right kidney.

Case Discussion

Features are consistent with appendicular abscess.
The patient underwent percutaneous drainage of the abscess and received intravenous antibiotics.
