Appendicular stump (normal)

Post laparoscopic appendicectomy 12 days ago. Complaining of right iliac fossa pain for 3 hours.

Patient Data

Age: 20
Gender: Male

Appendiceal stump is seen at the base of the caecum. Stump is normal in diameter. There are sutures (echogenic dots in cross section) at the base of the stump. The caecum is normal. There is no local collection.

Case Discussion

Patient with recent laparoscopic appendicectomy presents with abdominal pain for a few hours. Ultrasound shows a normal appendicular stump.
