Presentation

Scrotal discomfort.

Patient Data

Age: 45 years
Gender: Male
ultrasound

Scrotal ultrasound shows mild hydrocele and a testicular appendix in the upper pole of the right testis.

Case Discussion

If a testicular appendix is noted by ultrasound, it is preferred to mention it in the report although it is normal, because it has a risk of torsion.

This patient has scrotal discomfort due to bilateral varicocele (not shown).
