Presentation

Abdominal pain. Normal recent barium enema.

Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Female
x-ray

Multiple focal areas of increased density projected over the cecum with a curvilinear area of increased density. Appearances are most in keeping with retained barium in the appendix.
