Absence of left side nostril, nasal cavity and ethmoid air cells associated with left frontoethmoidal encephalocele. Inferior continuation of metopic suture is also noted.
Case Discussion
Radiological features are consistent with arhinia.
Arhinia is an extremely rare congenital disease, characterized by absent of external nasal bone, blinded-end nostril, and inferior continuation of the metopic suture. It can be diagnosed during antenatal period by using fetal MRI or ultrasound.
