An irregular region of high T2 signal within the right side of the base of skull is consistent with arrested pneumatisation of the sphenoid.
Case Discussion
Arrested pneumatisation of the sphenoid is fairly common and should not be mistaken for pathology (e.g. metastasis, fibrous dysplasia, infection).
