Case Discussion

Typical CT appearances of arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy (ARVC) with a dilated right ventricle and fatty infiltration and atrophy of the RV wall.

Patients with arrhythmogenic right ventricular cardiomyopathy are prone to arrhythmia and resultant sudden cardiac death, hence why this patient has an implantable cardioverter-defibrillator (ICD) in situ.
