Presentation
Abdominal distension and pain, vomiting
Patient Data
Multiple hypoechoic tubular structures with well-defined echogenic walls and parallel echogenic lines, with anteroposterior diameter up to 4.1mm, seen within the lumen of small bowel consistent with ascariasis. Associated with free liquid laminar interases. In the second image you can see the dilatation of the thin intestinal loops of up to 30mm.
