Patient Data

Age: 30 years
Gender: Female

HSG

Fluoroscopy

Persistent, linear, irregular filling defects are noted within the endometrial cavity suggestive of intrauterine synechiae; also known as Asherman syndrome.

Both tubes are normal in shape and caliber.

Bilateral free intraperitoneal spillage is noted.

Case Discussion

The risk of miscarriage and stillbirth are both higher in women with Asherman syndrome.

This condition can be treated with hysteroscopic adhesiolysis.
