Chronic cough.

Age: 55 years
Gender: Female

Left apex cavity with thick walls and lucent content. Right apex distortion with a cavity filled with amorphous content and thick walls/opacification of its surroundings. Linear dense materials at both apices suggest previous resections.

Distortion of the lung apices with bilateral cavities and scarring; On the right the cavity has a mycetoma, and, on the left, it is clear. Scattered foci of inflammation centered in the distal airways, and also mild bronchiectasis.
