Presentation

Chronic cough and shortness of breath.

Patient Data

Age: 60 years
Gender: Female
CT

Thin-walled cavities in both lung apices. Two adjacent masses of soft tissue density in the right lung apical cavity, most likely representing aspergillomas.

Focal areas of nodular opacities with tree in bud appearance in both lungs.

Case Discussion

Thin-walled cavities in both lung apices with two aspergillomas in the right apical cavity; the features are consistent with chronic tuberculosis.

Focal areas of nodular opacities with tree in bud appearance in both lungs, raising the possibility of reactivation tuberculosis.
