Presentation

Tachypnea. Bilateral wheeze. History of asthma.

Patient Data

Age: 5
Gender: Male
x-ray

Partial collapse right upper lobe. Segmental collapse right lower lobe.
Horizontal segmental collapse present in the left upper lobe.
Hila are displaced anteriorly and lungs are hyperinflated.

Appearances are those of asthma with severe bronchial plugging.
