Magnetic resonance image demonstrating bilateral ischiopubic syncondrosis enlargement, to left predominance, with irregular edges and bone marrow edema. There is also edema of the external left obturator muscle.

Asymmetric ischiopubic synchondrosis (Van Neck-Odelberg disease), refers to a syndrome that may cause pain in young patients, due to a non-typical ossification of the ischiopubic synchondrosis.
