Presentation

Seizure.

Patient Data

Age: 15 years
Gender: Male

Dilated occipital horns of the lateral ventricles consistent with colpocephaly, associated with prominent temporal horns as well as agenesis of the corpus callosum.

CSF signal intensity lesion with no true restriction diffusion seen to the left of midline not associated with significant mass effect or surrounding brain edema, consistent with interhemispheric cyst.

Case Discussion

The constellation of radiological findings are consistent with asymmetric ventriculomegaly, interhemispheric cyst and dysgenesis of the corpus callosum (AVID).
