Presentation

Head trauma - incidental finding.

Patient Data

Age: 65 years
Gender: Male

Right frontal scalp hematoma, skin closure clips applied.
Incidental finding of bilateral assimilation of the occipital condyles with the superior articular facets of C1 and of the occipital bone with the posterior arch of C1 on the right. Midline osseous defect of the posterior arch of C1.
Degenerative changes in the cervical spine included in the study, including those of the uncovertebral joints, as well as anterior and posterior osteophytes at several levels.
Elongated right temporal styloid process.
