There is a midline subgaleal cystic mass at the posterior fontanelle with intracranial extension via a calvarial defect. It appears of CSF signal on all sequences, containing some linear structures representing most likely meninges with glial and neural rests. Persistent primitive falcine vein which is vertically oriented to the subgaleal mass. The straight sinus is absent as well as the vein of Galen. High position of the tentorium cerebelli with prominence of the superior cerebellar cistern.
MRI features of an atretic parietal cephalocele.
