Status-post percutaneous closure of atrial septal defect. Follow-up.
The heart is not enlarged. An ASD closure device (Amplatzer septal occluder) is seen in place.
Aorta and main pulmonary artery segment are within normal limits.
Lungs are essentially clear with normal vascular pattern.
Hemidiaphragms and costophrenic sulci are intact.
Visualized osseous structures are unremarkable.
This case demonstrates the radiographic appearance of an Amplatzer septal occluder (AGA Medical Corporation, Plymouth, Minn). The Amplatzer septal occluder is a nitinol double-disk-shaped device used for percutaneous closure of atrial septal defects.
