Posttraumatic intercarpal osteoarthritis with osteophytosis. Geographic lesion in the scaphoid with central fat signal and peripheral edema, suggesting a bone infarct.
Case Discussion
Posttraumatic avascular necrosis typically involves the proximal portion of the scaphoid. A bone infarct in the mid-portion is rather unusual.
