Atypical hepatic hemangioma - bright dot sign

Diagnosis almost certain

Presentation

Small hyperechoic focal lesion was seen on ultrasound.

Patient Data

Age: 40 years
Gender: Female

Small right lobe hypoattenuating focus with a central small area of increased attenuation being the bright dot sign of atypical liver hemangioma, in venous phase the high attenuating center is still obviously a little increased in size. Delayed phase of contrast shows homogeneous liver parenchyma.

Case Discussion

This case demonstrates CT findings of an atypical hepatic hemangioma with the bright dot sign. A follow up was requested.
