Presentation
Pelvic pain for two years.
Patient Data

Avascular necrosis on the right femoral head with a decreased signal intensity on T1W and T2W sequences, representing a stage D (fibrous-like).
There is also a geographic area of low signal intensity in the upper third portion of the right femur, surrounded by the serpinginous high signal rim. This is a characteristic appearance of a bone infarct.
High signal within the femur neck and the acetabular roof is present. Note the mild joint effusion in the right hip joint.
Case Discussion
This patient was referred with a history of pelvic pain for two years ago after prescription of corticosteroids, which is the presumed cause.
